Mac sharing helper

The Chrome extension works with a separate macOS helper. The helper captures the display you select and excludes MoonSay windows; the extension provides that video stream to Google Meet.

macOS 14 or later · Apple Silicon and Intel · Developer ID signed and Apple notarized.

Add MoonSay Protected Desktop from the Chrome Web Store.

Set up and share

1. Open the DMG and launch MoonSay Sharing Setup. Click Install sharing helper. The helper is installed in your user Applications folder; Chrome connection information is registered for this extension only.
2. Add MoonSay Protected Desktop from the Chrome Web Store. If you previously used an unpacked development version, stop sharing and disable it before enabling the Store version.
3. Allow MoonSay Share Helper in macOS Privacy & Security → Screen Recording.
4. Open exactly one MoonSay instance and keep its window visible. In Google Meet choose Present now, select a display in the MoonSay dialog, then choose Share Desktop.
5. Stop from Google Meet or the extension popup. Closing the tab or MoonSay also ends the protected stream.

What is shared

Your entire selected display is sent to Google Meet and its meeting participants, excluding MoonSay-owned windows. Other applications, browser content, notifications and system dialogs may remain visible. Share only information you are authorized to disclose, and check the receiving view before presenting.

The companion does not capture audio, save a recording or upload screen frames to MoonSay servers. Google Meet’s microphone, recording and data handling are separate. A faint tint may remain on dark backgrounds in some configurations; this is not a promise of pixel-perfect invisibility.

This helper has no separate charge and does not need AI credits to share. The main MoonSay application’s account and AI features are separate. Get the MoonSay application.
